Excelian’s Environmental Policy
Excelian operates with consideration for the environment at the core of its activities. It is committed to continual improvement and to creating as sustainable an organisation as possible. We have identified our environmental impacts and have created solutions to reduce these significantly. We are committed to preventing pollution and to taking the steps needed to comply with environmental legislation.

In particular, Excelian will:

Energy and Carbon
  • Raise awareness of energy consumption throughout operations
  • Reduce energy use through behavioural change and using new efficient technologies
  • Calculate our operating carbon emissions annually and arrange offsetting as per company targets
  • Use public transport for local travel and rail in preference to air for short haul journeys
Waste
  • Increase waste awareness and apply the principles of the waste hierarchy: Reduce: Reuse: Recycle
  • Segregate and recycle paper, cardboard, plastic bottles, glass, aluminium cans and ink cartridges
  • Reuse, donate to charity or recycle all redundant IT hardware
Purchasing and Procurement
  • Consider the environmental credentials and life-cycle of all products, services and suppliers
  • Purchase 100% recycled paper to create a 'closed-loop' solution
  • Adhere to the Mayors Green Procurement Code
This policy is communicated to all Excelian staff members to ensure its effectiveness and is made publicly available to stakeholders. It will be reviewed on an annual basis to ensure continued relevance and to reflect the changing nature of Excelian and the services it provides.
