Launch of the Excelian Supportal for Grid, Data Grid and High Performance Computing Users
We are pleased to announce the launch of the excelian supportal. For both individual users and organisations who need access to a source of expertise on Grid, Data Grid and High Performance Computing.The Supportal is a web based framework for discussion, assistance and information in relation to compute and data grid; with a strong focus on the needs of the finance community. The forum is a chance for experienced Grid users and those new to the technology to ask questions, share information and generally discuss the latest news, views and reviews of the concepts, technologies and operations of grid within finance. Available to all users is:
- News: Captures valuable information and interest regarding the latest innovations and changes in Grid and High Performance Computing and the various vendors related to the technology.
- Blog: An online journal for Excelian consultants; offering the ability to provide commentary, news or even an online diary of their experiences in grid computing on Excelian projects.
- Forum: Provides an opportunity to post ideas, tips, experiences, observations, open questions and ‘constructive’ comments regarding grid computing and its use within the banking and energy trading industries.
The supportal is also available as a subscription service aimed at organizations that want to augment their internal grid teams with experienced consultancy but do not need a consultant full time on site. This service gives you access to the collective knowledge of the Excelian consultants and allows users to:
- Search for previously resolved queries in the Knowledge Base
- Raise new questions through the call logging centre and instant messaging
- Receive help in resolving the support and engineering issues that arise day to day, in managing and maintaining DataSynapse and Platform grid environments
