New functionality, new product and upgrade projects typically require us to deliver similar skills but within smaller targeted teams with detailed product, application or module knowledge. These consultants are then normally integrated within existing client or Excelian teams.
Our specialist work in these fields has led to us building an extensive configuration ‘tool kit’ (including automated configuration, testing and reconciliation software), documentation and template library as well as a suite of project management, implementation and testing methodologies to help structure and accelerate projects. Many of these tools are available to clients under license. However, full out-sourced project teams from Excelian provide these tools as part of our standard service offering larger teams that are embedded and integrated within the client teams.
Although most large projects are undertaken on a ‘client site’, we have significant experience housing all or part of the team based remotely at one of Excelian’s development centers. Outsourced and ‘off-site’ delivery is one of the most cost effective ways of delivering development or support services to our clients whilst providing local and accessible teams with fewer cultural or time zone boundaries than many ‘off-shore’ solutions.
In addition to the provision of larger integrated or outsourced teams, Excelian also offers an ‘on-demand’, on-line and SME (subject matter expert) consulting service to clients who require flexible and scalable consulting on an ad-hoc basis.
